Sonos Defeats Denon HEOS Again: Understanding the Patent Lawsuits

It was a bad week for Denon Electronics, LLC and its HEOS line of wireless multiroom audio systems. The D&M Holdings unit, now owned by Sound United, was sued by Sonos in 2014 on four patent infringement claims. In December 2017, the jury ruled against Denon on three of those claims, ordering the company to pay Sonos $2 million for past breaches dating back to the HEOS product launch in 2014 through December 2016. Microsoft patents locking mechanism fueling more Surface Phone rumors

After Microsoft seemingly abandoned its Windows Phone endeavors, and then sold off Nokia's feature phone division and rights; fans of the company's mobile - and Lumia brand - have wandered around aimlessly hoping for some good news. Several leaks have appeared since October of last year pointing to a complete refresh, codenamed 'Andromeda'. As reported, this forms some part of the company's aim to target the mobile market with a single core OS.

TDS-Owned OneNeck Patents Data Center Sensors That Pinpoint Server Hotspots

OneNeck’s new vertically sweeping roaming robotic-sensor, designed to move up and down a closed server cabinet has been awarded a U.S. patent, the TDS data center subsidiary announced. During each vertical sweep, the OneNeck data center sensor assembly records the heat and humidity then generates a color-coded heat map. Data centers include hundreds of such cabinets.
