<h2 style="text-align: center;">CAMBODIA TRADEMARK REGISTRATION PROCEDURES</h2> <p style="text-align: center;">Cambodia adopts the International Classification of Goods and Services under the Nice Agreement (10th Edition). Trademark, services mark and collective mark are registrable in Cambodia. Multiple class filing is available. Priority right can be claimed under the Paris Convention.</p> <h3 style="text-align: center;">NECESSARY DOCUMENTS/INFORMATION</h3> <p style="text-align: left;">• Full name, registered address and nationality of the applicant;</p> <p style="text-align: left;">• A specimen of the trademark in JPEG file with a resolution of at least 300 DPI;</p> <p style="text-align: left;">• Description of the mark: meaning, color claimed, transliteration or translation of the characters of the mark into English if these characters are not in English;</p> <p style="text-align: left;">• Vienna Code of the device of the mark (if known);</p> <p style="text-align: left;">• A list of goods/services and the International Classification of respective goods/services (if known);</p> <p style="text-align: left;">• Priority data for claiming priority right under the Paris Convention (if any), including application number, priority date, country. Original certified copy of the priority application and the English translation can be submitted after filing; and</p> <p style="text-align: left;">• A notarized Power of Attorney. A fax copy is acceptable at filing but the original <span style="text-decoration: line-through;">is</span> must be submitted later.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <h3 style="text-align: center;">TIME FRAME</h3> <p style="text-align: center;">Generally, it would take about 9-12 months as of the official filing date for obtaining a Certificate of Trademark Registration.</p> <h3> </h3> <h3 style="text-align: center;">PROTECTION TERM AND RENEWAL</h3> <p style="text-align: center;">The term of protection of trademark in Cambodia is 10 years from the filing date. The registered trademark can be renewed for unlimited times, each of 10 years. </p>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">FILING AFFIDAVIT OF USE/NON-USE</h2> <p style="text-align: center;">The trademark owner is under the obligation to use the trademark in Cambodia. At the end of each period of 5 years from the date of registration, an Affidavit of Use, if the trademark has been used in Cambodia, or an Affidavit of Non-Use, if the trademark has not been used in Cambodia, should be submitted at the Cambodian Trademark Office.
